Slow Cooker Teriyaki Chicken
Description
Tender chicken breasts slow cooked in sweet and savory teriyaki sauce with garlic, ginger, and honey. An easy weeknight dinner that tastes better than takeout.
Ingredients
- 4 chicken breasts
- 1 cup bottled teriyaki sauce
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 tablespoon honey
- 1 teaspoon ground ginger
- 1 tablespoon sesame seeds (optional)
- Green onions for garnish (optional)
Instructions
- Place chicken breasts into the slow cooker.
- In a small bowl, mix teriyaki sauce, garlic, honey, and ginger.
- Pour the sauce mixture evenly over the chicken.
- Cover and cook on LOW for 5ā6 hours or HIGH for 3ā4 hours.
- Once tender, spoon sauce over the chicken before serving.
- Garnish with sesame seeds and green onions if desired.
- Serve with rice or steamed vegetables.
Tips
- Add broccoli or bell peppers during the last hour of cooking.
- For thicker sauce, mix 1 tablespoon cornstarch with water and stir in near the end.
