Grandma’s Cheeseburger Biscuit Bake

Grandma’s Cheeseburger Biscuit Bake

A hearty comfort-food casserole featuring seasoned ground beef, melted cheddar cheese, and flaky biscuit dough baked until golden brown.

Ingredients

  • 1 lb (450 g) ground beef
  • 1 small onion, finely diced
  • 2 cups shredded cheddar cheese
  • 1 can refrigerated biscuit dough (8 biscuits)
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon black pepper

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 190°C (375°F).
  2. Brown the ground beef and onion in a skillet over medium heat.
  3. Drain excess grease and season with salt and pepper.
  4. Press half of the biscuit dough into the bottom of a greased 9×13-inch baking dish.
  5. Spread the beef mixture evenly over the dough.
  6. Sprinkle the shredded cheddar cheese over the beef.
  7. Cover with the remaining biscuit dough, pressing edges together gently.
  8. Bake for 25–30 minutes until golden brown.
  9. Let rest for 5 minutes before cutting into squares.

Optional Additions

  • Dill pickle slices
  • Cooked bacon crumbles
  • Garlic powder
  • Burger sauce or ketchup for serving
