Grandma’s Cheeseburger Biscuit Bake
A hearty comfort-food casserole featuring seasoned ground beef, melted cheddar cheese, and flaky biscuit dough baked until golden brown.
Ingredients
- 1 lb (450 g) ground beef
- 1 small onion, finely diced
- 2 cups shredded cheddar cheese
- 1 can refrigerated biscuit dough (8 biscuits)
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 190°C (375°F).
- Brown the ground beef and onion in a skillet over medium heat.
- Drain excess grease and season with salt and pepper.
- Press half of the biscuit dough into the bottom of a greased 9×13-inch baking dish.
- Spread the beef mixture evenly over the dough.
- Sprinkle the shredded cheddar cheese over the beef.
- Cover with the remaining biscuit dough, pressing edges together gently.
- Bake for 25–30 minutes until golden brown.
- Let rest for 5 minutes before cutting into squares.
Optional Additions
- Dill pickle slices
- Cooked bacon crumbles
- Garlic powder
- Burger sauce or ketchup for serving
