Hearty Beef and Shell Pasta Skillet
Hearty Beef and Shell Pasta Skillet
Most people won’t take the extra 5 minutes to do this with the meat… but that’s exactly why mine got devoured before I even sat down.
Ingredients
- 1 pound ground beef
- 12 ounces medium pasta shells
- 1 can diced tomatoes
- 1 green bell pepper, diced
- 1 small onion, diced
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 2 cups beef broth
- 1 teaspoon Italian seasoning
- Salt and black pepper to taste
- Fresh parsley for garnish
Instructions
- Bring a large pot of salted water to a boil and cook pasta shells until al dente. Drain and set aside.
- In a large skillet, brown the ground beef over medium-high heat. Let it sit untouched for a few minutes to develop extra flavor before stirring.
- Add diced onion, bell pepper, and garlic. Cook until softened.
- Stir in diced tomatoes, beef broth, Italian seasoning, salt, and black pepper.
- Simmer for 10 minutes until slightly thickened.
- Add cooked pasta shells and toss until fully coated in the sauce.
- Garnish with fresh parsley and serve hot.
Serving Suggestions
- Serve with crusty garlic bread
- Top with grated parmesan cheese
- Pair with a fresh green salad
Tip: Browning the meat deeply before stirring creates richer flavor and gives the dish its irresistible taste.
