Hearty Beef and Shell Pasta Skillet

Most people won’t take the extra 5 minutes to do this with the meat… but that’s exactly why mine got devoured before I even sat down.

Ingredients

  • 1 pound ground beef
  • 12 ounces medium pasta shells
  • 1 can diced tomatoes
  • 1 green bell pepper, diced
  • 1 small onion, diced
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 2 cups beef broth
  • 1 teaspoon Italian seasoning
  • Salt and black pepper to taste
  • Fresh parsley for garnish

Instructions

  1. Bring a large pot of salted water to a boil and cook pasta shells until al dente. Drain and set aside.
  2. In a large skillet, brown the ground beef over medium-high heat. Let it sit untouched for a few minutes to develop extra flavor before stirring.
  3. Add diced onion, bell pepper, and garlic. Cook until softened.
  4. Stir in diced tomatoes, beef broth, Italian seasoning, salt, and black pepper.
  5. Simmer for 10 minutes until slightly thickened.
  6. Add cooked pasta shells and toss until fully coated in the sauce.
  7. Garnish with fresh parsley and serve hot.

Serving Suggestions

  • Serve with crusty garlic bread
  • Top with grated parmesan cheese
  • Pair with a fresh green salad

Tip: Browning the meat deeply before stirring creates richer flavor and gives the dish its irresistible taste.
