Slow Cooker Beef and Noodles
Tender chunks of beef slowly simmer with onions and savory seasonings before being combined with egg noodles for the ultimate comfort-food dinner. This hearty meal is simple, filling, and always a family favorite.
Ingredients
- 2 lbs (900 g) beef stew meat, cut into cubes
- 12 oz (340 g) egg noodles
- 1 small onion, diced
- 2 cups beef broth
- 1 packet onion soup mix
- 1 teaspoon black pepper
Instructions
- Place the beef cubes in the slow cooker.
- Add the diced onion and sprinkle the onion soup mix over the beef.
- Pour the beef broth into the slow cooker.
- Cover and cook on LOW for 7–8 hours or HIGH for 4–5 hours until the beef is tender.
- About 30 minutes before serving, cook the egg noodles according to package directions and drain.
- Stir the cooked noodles into the slow cooker.
- Mix gently until coated in the savory juices.
- Serve hot and enjoy.
Optional Additions
- 8 oz sliced mushrooms
- 1 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
- Fresh parsley for garnish
