Creamed Corn Beef Casserole
This old-fashioned comfort casserole combines seasoned ground beef, creamy corn, and a few simple pantry staples for a hearty family dinner that’s easy to prepare and full of flavor.
Ingredients
- 2 lbs (900 g) ground beef
- 2 cans (14.75 oz each) creamed corn
- 1 medium onion, finely diced
- 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
- 1 packet onion soup mix
- 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C).
- Spread the raw ground beef evenly into a 9×13-inch baking dish.
- Sprinkle the diced onion, onion soup mix, and black pepper over the beef.
- Pour the creamed corn evenly across the top.
- Cover with foil and bake for 45 minutes.
- Remove the foil, sprinkle with cheddar cheese, and return to the oven for 10–15 minutes.
- Bake until the beef is fully cooked and the cheese is melted and bubbly.
- Let rest for 5 minutes before serving.
Optional Additions
- 1 diced green bell pepper
- 1 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1/2 teaspoon paprika
- Fresh parsley for garnish
