Slow Cooker Cheesy Sausage Meatballs
These irresistible slow cooker meatballs are made with just three simple ingredients and stay warm, juicy, and cheesy for hours. They’re the perfect party appetizer and always disappear first at potlucks, game days, and holiday gatherings.
Ingredients
- 2 pounds ground Italian sausage (or breakfast sausage)
- 8 oz mozzarella cheese, cut into small cubes
- 1 cup grated Parmesan cheese
Instructions
- Cut the mozzarella into 1/2-inch cubes.
- Divide the sausage into 20–24 equal portions.
- Place one cube of mozzarella in the center of each portion and seal the meat around it to form a ball.
- Roll each meatball lightly in the grated Parmesan cheese.
- Arrange the meatballs in a lightly greased slow cooker.
- Cover and cook on LOW for 3–4 hours or HIGH for 2 hours, until the meatballs reach an internal temperature of 165°F (74°C).
- Switch the slow cooker to the WARM setting to keep them hot for serving.
- Serve with toothpicks and your favorite dipping sauces.
