Creamy Chicken Casserole
This easy comfort-food casserole combines tender chicken breast with a rich creamy sauce and melted cheese. A simple family dinner that’s hearty, satisfying, and perfect for busy weeknights.
Ingredients
- 2 lbs (900 g) boneless skinless chicken breasts, diced
- 2 cans (10.5 oz each) cream of chicken soup
- 1 cup sour cream
- 1 packet ranch seasoning mix
- 1½ cups shredded cheddar cheese
- ½ teaspoon black pepper
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C).
- Lightly grease a 9×13-inch ceramic baking dish.
- Spread the diced chicken evenly in the baking dish.
- In a bowl, mix together the cream of chicken soup, sour cream, ranch seasoning, and black pepper.
- Pour the mixture evenly over the chicken.
- Sprinkle the shredded cheddar cheese over the top.
- Cover with foil and bake for 40 minutes.
- Remove the foil and continue baking for 15–20 minutes, until the chicken is fully cooked and the cheese is bubbly.
- Let stand for 5 minutes before serving.
Optional Additions
- 1 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1 cup cooked bacon crumbles
- 1 cup sliced mushrooms
- Fresh parsley for garnish
