Slow Cooker Shredded Chicken Sandwiches

Pour chicken broth over chicken breasts, along with these 2 simple ingredients, into the slow cooker for a sandwich filling that’s always a yes in my house. Tender, juicy shredded chicken packed with flavor and perfect for easy meals.

Ingredients

  • 4 boneless skinless chicken breasts
  • 2 cups chicken broth
  • 1 small onion, diced
  • 1 packet ranch seasoning mix
  • Salt and black pepper to taste
  • Sandwich buns for serving

Instructions

  1. Place chicken breasts into the slow cooker.
  2. Sprinkle ranch seasoning evenly over the chicken.
  3. Add diced onions around the chicken.
  4. Pour chicken broth over everything.
  5. Cover and cook on LOW for 6-7 hours or HIGH for 3-4 hours.
  6. Shred chicken with two forks directly in the slow cooker.
  7. Mix well with the juices before serving.
  8. Spoon onto sandwich buns and serve warm.

Serving Suggestions

  • Top with provolone or mozzarella cheese
  • Serve with potato chips or fries
  • Add pickles or coleslaw for extra flavor
