Slow Cooker Chicken and Cabbage
Layer shredded cabbage under chicken legs, along with a few simple pantry staples, for a hearty slow cooker supper that is effortless, comforting, and full of flavor.
Ingredients
- 6 chicken legs
- 1 small head cabbage, shredded
- 1 onion, sliced
- 1 cup chicken broth
- 2 tablespoons butter
- 1 teaspoon garlic powder
- Salt and black pepper to taste
Instructions
- Place shredded cabbage in the bottom of the slow cooker.
- Top with sliced onions.
- Arrange chicken legs over the cabbage mixture.
- Pour chicken broth into the slow cooker.
- Add butter on top.
- Season with garlic powder, salt, and black pepper.
- Cover and cook on LOW for 6-7 hours or HIGH for 4 hours.
- Serve hot with the tender cabbage and broth spooned over the chicken.
