A hearty slow cooker comfort meal made with ground beef, white rice, creamy soup, and savory seasonings. Simple ingredients turn into a warm, filling dinner perfect for busy nights.

Ingredients

  • 1 lb ground beef
  • 1 cup uncooked white rice
  • 1 can cream of mushroom soup
  • 2 cups beef broth
  • 1 small onion, diced
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • Salt and black pepper to taste
  • 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese (optional)

Instructions

  1. Lightly grease the slow cooker.
  2. Add raw ground beef and uncooked rice to the slow cooker.
  3. Mix in diced onion, garlic powder, salt, and black pepper.
  4. Pour cream of mushroom soup and beef broth over the mixture.
  5. Stir gently until combined.
  6. Cover and cook on LOW for 5–6 hours or HIGH for 3–4 hours.
  7. Stir once near the end of cooking.
  8. Top with cheddar cheese during the last 10 minutes if desired.
  9. Serve hot and enjoy.

Tips

  • Add frozen peas or corn for extra flavor and color.
  • Use cream of chicken soup instead of mushroom if preferred.
