Smothered Burger Steaks Slow Cooker
These smothered burger steaks cook low and slow in a rich onion gravy until perfectly tender. A hearty comfort food dinner the whole family will ask for again and again.
Ingredients
- 1 1/2 pounds ground beef
- 1 packet onion soup mix
- 1 onion, sliced
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 can beef broth
- 1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
- 1 tablespoon cornstarch
- 2 tablespoons water
- Salt and black pepper to taste
Instructions
- Form ground beef into thick oval patties.
- Place sliced onions and garlic into the bottom of the slow cooker.
- Lay burger steaks on top.
- In a bowl, mix beef broth, onion soup mix, and Worcestershire sauce.
- Pour the gravy mixture over the burger steaks.
- Cover and cook on LOW for 6 hours or HIGH for 3-4 hours.
- Mix cornstarch with water and stir into the slow cooker during the last 15 minutes to thicken the gravy.
- Serve hot with gravy spooned over the top.
