This comforting slow cooker dinner transforms frozen beef patties into tender Salisbury steaks smothered in a rich mushroom gravy. With just a few simple ingredients, it’s an effortless family favorite that’s perfect served over mashed potatoes, rice, or egg noodles.

Ingredients

  • 6 frozen beef patties
  • 2 cans (10.5 oz each) condensed cream of mushroom soup
  • 1 packet (1 oz) onion soup mix
  • 1 cup beef broth
  • 1 medium onion, thinly sliced (optional)
  • Fresh parsley, chopped (optional, for garnish)

Instructions

  1. Place the frozen beef patties in a single layer in the slow cooker.
  2. If using, scatter the sliced onions over the patties.
  3. In a bowl, whisk together the cream of mushroom soup, onion soup mix, and beef broth until smooth.
  4. Pour the mixture evenly over the beef patties.
  5. Cover and cook on LOW for 6–7 hours or HIGH for 3–4 hours.
  6. Once the patties are tender, gently stir the gravy.
