Creamy Chicken & Rice Casserole
This comforting casserole is made with just a few pantry staples and delivers creamy, cheesy goodness in every bite. Tender chicken, fluffy rice, and a rich cream sauce are baked under a golden layer of melted cheese for the perfect family dinner.
Ingredients
- 3 cups cooked shredded chicken
- 3 cups cooked white rice
- 2 cans (10.5 oz each) cream of chicken soup
- 1 cup sour cream
- 2 cups shredded mozzarella or Monterey Jack cheese
- 1 tsp garlic powder
- 1 tsp onion powder
- ½ tsp black pepper
- ½ tsp dried parsley (optional)
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C).
- Lightly grease a 9×13-inch baking dish.
- In a large bowl, combine the cooked chicken, cooked rice, cream of chicken soup, sour cream, garlic powder, onion powder, black pepper, and half of the shredded cheese.
- Mix until everything is evenly coated.
- Spread the mixture into the prepared baking dish.
- Top with the remaining shredded cheese.
- Bake uncovered for 30–35 minutes, until hot and bubbly.
- Broil for 2–3 minutes to create a golden-brown cheesy topping.
- Allow to rest for 5 minutes before serving.
