Creamy Chicken & Rice Casserole

This comforting casserole is made with just a few pantry staples and delivers creamy, cheesy goodness in every bite. Tender chicken, fluffy rice, and a rich cream sauce are baked under a golden layer of melted cheese for the perfect family dinner.

Ingredients

  • 3 cups cooked shredded chicken
  • 3 cups cooked white rice
  • 2 cans (10.5 oz each) cream of chicken soup
  • 1 cup sour cream
  • 2 cups shredded mozzarella or Monterey Jack cheese
  • 1 tsp garlic powder
  • 1 tsp onion powder
  • ½ tsp black pepper
  • ½ tsp dried parsley (optional)

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C).
  2. Lightly grease a 9×13-inch baking dish.
  3. In a large bowl, combine the cooked chicken, cooked rice, cream of chicken soup, sour cream, garlic powder, onion powder, black pepper, and half of the shredded cheese.
  4. Mix until everything is evenly coated.
  5. Spread the mixture into the prepared baking dish.
  6. Top with the remaining shredded cheese.
  7. Bake uncovered for 30–35 minutes, until hot and bubbly.
  8. Broil for 2–3 minutes to create a golden-brown cheesy topping.
  9. Allow to rest for 5 minutes before serving.
