Ingredients
- 4 thick-cut bone-in pork chops
- 1½ cups chunky applesauce
- 2 tablespoons brown sugar
- 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
- 1 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1 teaspoon onion powder
- ½ teaspoon salt
- ½ teaspoon black pepper
- 1 tablespoon melted butter
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C).
- Lightly grease a 9×13-inch baking dish.
- Season both sides of the pork chops with the salt, pepper, garlic powder, and onion powder.
- Arrange the pork chops in the baking dish.
- In a small bowl, combine the applesauce, brown sugar, cinnamon, and melted butter.
- Spoon the apple mixture evenly over each pork chop.
- Cover loosely with foil and bake for 30 minutes.
- Remove the foil and continue baking for 15–20 minutes, or until the pork reaches an internal temperature of 145°F (63°C).
- Let the pork chops rest for 5 minutes before serving.
