Cabbage and Minced Meat Recipe
Ingredients:
- 1 small cabbage, chopped into small pieces
- 1 pound of ground beef
- 1 can (15 oz) of diced tomatoes
- 1 cup chopped onions
- 2 garlic cloves, finely minced
- 1 tablespoon powdered broth seasoning
- 1/2 teaspoon cumin
- 1/4 teaspoon cayenne pepper
- 1/2 teaspoon smoked paprika
- Salt to taste
Instructions:
1. Cook the Ground Beef:
In a large skillet or cast-iron pan, cook the ground beef over medium heat. Use a wooden spoon to break the meat apart as it cooks until it’s fully browned.
2. Sauté Onions and Garlic:
Push the cooked ground beef to one side of the skillet. Add a little oil to the pan and sauté the chopped onions and garlic on the other side for 2-3 minutes, or until they become fragrant and translucent.
3. Add Tomatoes and Spices:
Pour in the diced tomatoes, including their juice. Stir in the broth seasoning, cumin, cayenne pepper, smoked paprika, and salt. Mix everything well and bring the mixture to a simmer.
4. Simmer the Meat and Tomato Mixture:
Lower the heat to medium and cook the mixture for about 5 minutes, allowing the flavors to meld together. Taste and adjust seasoning as needed.
5. Incorporate the Cabbage:
Add the chopped cabbage to the skillet and stir it into the beef and tomato mixture. Continue cooking for 10-15 minutes, stirring occasionally, until the cabbage is tender.
6. Serve:
Serve the dish hot and enjoy its bold and savory flavors.
