Cheesy Potato Bake (Comfort Classic)
Ingredients:
- 4–5 medium potatoes (thinly sliced)
- 2 cups shredded cheese (mozzarella or cheddar)
- 1 cup heavy cream or milk
- 2 tablespoons butter
- 2 cloves garlic (optional)
- Salt and black pepper
- Fresh herbs (optional)
Instructions:
- Preheat oven to 180°C (350°F).
- Grease a baking dish with butter.
- Layer sliced potatoes evenly in the dish.
- Season each layer with salt, pepper, and garlic.
- Pour cream or milk over the potatoes.
- Add shredded cheese on top.
- Cover with foil and bake for 40 minutes.
- Remove foil and bake another 20 minutes until golden and bubbly.
- Let it rest 10 minutes before cutting.
