Mississippi Meatballs
A bold and savory twist on the famous Mississippi-style dishes. These juicy meatballs are slow-cooked in a rich, buttery, slightly tangy sauce with peppers for extra flavor. Perfect for an easy dinner or even as a party dish.
Ingredients
- 500g (1 lb) frozen or fresh meatballs
- 1 packet ranch seasoning mix
- 1 packet au jus gravy mix
- 1/2 cup unsalted butter
- 4–6 pepperoncini peppers (plus a splash of their juice)
Instructions
Place the meatballs into the slow cooker.
Sprinkle the ranch seasoning and au jus gravy mix evenly over the meatballs.
Add the butter on top in slices.
Place the pepperoncini peppers over everything and add a little of the juice for extra tang.
Cover and cook on low for 5–6 hours or on high for 3–4 hours until everything is hot and flavorful.
Stir gently before serving to coat the meatballs in the sauce.
Serving
Serve over rice, mashed potatoes, or as a sandwich filling. They also work great as an appetizer.
