Slow Cooker Roast with Potatoes (4 Ingredients)
Ingredients:
- 1.5 – 2 lbs beef roast
- 4–5 potatoes (cut into chunks)
- 1 onion (optional)
- 1 packet onion soup mix or seasoning
- 1/2 cup water or broth
Instructions:
- Place potatoes and onion at the bottom of the slow cooker.
- Put the beef roast on top.
- Sprinkle the onion soup mix over the meat.
- Add water or broth around the sides.
- Cover with lid.
- Cook on LOW for 8 hours or HIGH for 4–5 hours.
- Do not open lid during cooking.
- Serve with juices poured over the meat and potatoes.
Important Tips:
- Use a fatty cut of beef for better tenderness.
- Cut potatoes into large chunks so they don’t get mushy.
- Let the meat rest 5–10 minutes before slicing.
- For thicker gravy, remove lid last 20 minutes.
