Slow Cooker Roast with Potatoes

Slow Cooker Roast with Potatoes (4 Ingredients)

Ingredients:

  • 1.5 – 2 lbs beef roast
  • 4–5 potatoes (cut into chunks)
  • 1 onion (optional)
  • 1 packet onion soup mix or seasoning
  • 1/2 cup water or broth

Instructions:

  1. Place potatoes and onion at the bottom of the slow cooker.
  2. Put the beef roast on top.
  3. Sprinkle the onion soup mix over the meat.
  4. Add water or broth around the sides.
  5. Cover with lid.
  6. Cook on LOW for 8 hours or HIGH for 4–5 hours.
  7. Do not open lid during cooking.
  8. Serve with juices poured over the meat and potatoes.

Important Tips:

  • Use a fatty cut of beef for better tenderness.
  • Cut potatoes into large chunks so they don’t get mushy.
  • Let the meat rest 5–10 minutes before slicing.
  • For thicker gravy, remove lid last 20 minutes.
