Slow Cooker Applesauce Beef Roast

Ingredients:

  • 1 kg beef chuck roast
  • 1 cup applesauce
  • 1 onion (chopped)
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1/2 cup beef broth (optional)

Instructions:

  1. Place chopped onions at the bottom of the slow cooker.
  2. Put the beef roast on top.
  3. Season with salt and black pepper.
  4. Pour applesauce evenly over the meat.
  5. Add beef broth if desired.
  6. Cover and cook on LOW for 7–8 hours or HIGH for 4–5 hours.
  7. Once done, shred or slice and serve with the sauce.

Important Tips:

  • Use chuck roast for the most tender result.
  • Do not open the lid frequently.
  • Applesauce adds a sweet and tenderizing effect.
  • You can add garlic or thyme for extra flavor.

  • Serve with mashed potatoes
  • Serve over rice
  • Great in sandwiches
