Slow Cooker Applesauce Beef Roast
Ingredients:
- 1 kg beef chuck roast
- 1 cup applesauce
- 1 onion (chopped)
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
- 1/2 cup beef broth (optional)
Instructions:
- Place chopped onions at the bottom of the slow cooker.
- Put the beef roast on top.
- Season with salt and black pepper.
- Pour applesauce evenly over the meat.
- Add beef broth if desired.
- Cover and cook on LOW for 7–8 hours or HIGH for 4–5 hours.
- Once done, shred or slice and serve with the sauce.
Important Tips:
- Use chuck roast for the most tender result.
- Do not open the lid frequently.
- Applesauce adds a sweet and tenderizing effect.
- You can add garlic or thyme for extra flavor.
Serving Suggestions:
- Serve with mashed potatoes
- Serve over rice
- Great in sandwiches
