Stuffed Cabbage Rolls Recipe
Ingredients:
- 1 head of cabbage
- 2 lbs ground beef
- 2 grated onions
- 1 cup rice
- Salt and pepper to taste
- Fresh cilantro, chopped
- Tomato sauce
- 1 quince, sliced
Instructions:
- Prepare the Cabbage: Begin by boiling the cabbage until the leaves are tender and pliable.
- Prepare the Filling: In a large bowl, combine the ground beef, grated onions, rice, salt, pepper, and chopped cilantro. Mix well until all ingredients are evenly distributed.
- Assemble the Rolls: Take a softened cabbage leaf, place a portion of the meat mixture in the center, and carefully roll the leaf around the filling, tucking in the sides as you go to form a neat roll.
- Cook the Rolls: Place the stuffed cabbage rolls in a large saucepan, layering them snugly. Place a plate over the rolls to help keep them in place. Top with slices of quince, then pour tomato sauce over the entire dish.
- Simmer: Cover the saucepan and cook on medium heat until the rolls are fully cooked and tender, allowing the flavors to meld together.
