Heavenly Chocolate Cobbler Recipe

Have you ever tasted something so utterly divine that it feels surreal—especially knowing you created it yourself? This Chocolate Cobbler is one such recipe that will make you feel like you’ve stepped into dessert paradise.

Simple and Irresistible

This dessert is not only easy to make, but it has also become a family favorite. If it were up to my loved ones, I’d be baking this indulgent treat every single day! Give it a try; I promise you won’t be disappointed.

Ingredients

To make this delightful Chocolate Cobbler, you will need the following ingredients:

  • 2 sticks of butter
  • 1 ¼ cups of sugar
  • 1 ½ cups of self-rising flour
  • 1 teaspoon of vanilla extract
  • ¾ cup of milk

For the Chocolate Layer:

  • 1 cup of sugar
  • 6 tablespoons of cocoa powder
  • 2 cups of boiling water

Directions

  1. Preheat the Oven: Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). In a 9×13-inch glass baking dish, melt the two sticks of butter in the oven.
  2. Prepare the Batter: While the butter is melting, combine 1 ¼ cups of sugar, self-rising flour, vanilla extract, and milk in a mixing bowl. Once the butter has melted, carefully pour the batter over it without stirring.
  3. Create the Chocolate Layer: In a separate bowl, mix together the cocoa powder and the remaining sugar. Evenly sprinkle this cocoa-sugar mixture on top of the batter, again being careful not to stir.
  4. Add Boiling Water: Pour 2 cups of boiling water over the top of the mixture (do not stir).
  5. Bake: Bake in the preheated oven for 30 to 45 minutes. I recommend baking until you achieve a beautiful golden-brown crust, which usually takes about 35 minutes in my oven.
  6. Serve: Enjoy this delightful dessert warm, preferably topped with a scoop of ice cream!

Final Step

Don’t forget to share this heavenly treat with your friends and family!
