Ingredients:

  • 2 cans of refrigerated crescent roll dough (8 ounces each)
  • 2 packages of cream cheese (8 ounces each, at room temperature)
  • 1 and 1/4 cups of sugar (divided)
  • 1 teaspoon of vanilla extract
  • 1/2 cup of melted margarine
  • 1 teaspoon of cinnamon powder

Instructions:

  1. Preheat the Oven: Begin by preheating your oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease a 9×13-inch baking dish to prevent sticking.
  2. Prepare the Crescent Roll Base: Open one can of crescent roll dough and carefully spread it evenly across the bottom of the prepared baking dish. Set the second can aside for later use.
  3. Make the Cream Cheese Filling: In a medium-sized mixing bowl, combine the cream cheese, 1 cup of sugar, and vanilla extract. Blend until the mixture is smooth and creamy. Spread this delicious cream cheese mixture over the crescent roll layer in the baking dish.
  4. Add the Top Layer of Dough: Open the second can of crescent roll dough and lay it on top of the cream cheese layer, ensuring not to press it down.
  5. Drizzle with Margarine: Pour the melted margarine evenly over the entire dish, allowing it to soak into the layers.
  6. Prepare the Cinnamon Sugar Topping: In a small bowl, mix the remaining 1/4 cup of sugar with the cinnamon powder. Sprinkle this mixture generously on top of the dish for added flavor.
  7. Bake: Place the baking dish in the preheated oven and bake for 25 to 30 minutes, or until the top is golden brown and crispy.
  8. Serve: Once baked, allow the dish to cool slightly before cutting it into 24 squares. Enjoy this delightful treat!
