Homemade Dessert Bars Recipe

Delicious Homemade Dessert Bars That Everyone Loves
I’ve been making these dessert bars for years, and they’re always a hit! Every time I serve them, people can’t get enough. They have a unique, homemade touch that sets them apart.
Ingredients:
For the Crust:
- 1 box of yellow cake mix (dry)
 - 8 tablespoons of melted butter
 - 1 egg

For the Sticky Layer:
- 8 ounces of cream cheese, softened to room temperature
 - 2 beaten eggs
 - 16 ounces of powdered sugar

Instructions:
- Preheat the Oven: Set your oven to 350°F (175°C). Lightly grease a 9×13-inch baking dish with butter or oil.
 - Prepare the Crust: In a medium bowl, combine the dry cake mix, melted butter, and egg. Stir until the mixture forms a dough-like consistency. Press this evenly into the bottom of the prepared baking dish.
 - Create the Sticky Layer: In a large bowl, beat the softened cream cheese until smooth. Gradually add the beaten eggs, mixing for a few minutes until well combined. Slowly incorporate the powdered sugar and continue mixing until the batter is smooth.
 - Assemble: Spread the sticky layer evenly over the crust.
 - Bake: Place the dish in the preheated oven and bake for 25-30 minutes, or until the bars are set. Be careful not to overbake.
 - Cool: Allow the dessert bars to cool completely in the pan before cutting them into squares.

Enjoy this delightful treat!
