Vintage Red & Green Nougat Candy
Description: A nostalgic Christmas favorite! Soft, chewy white nougat filled with festive red and green jelly pieces.
Ingredients
- 2 cups mini marshmallows
- 2 cups white chocolate chips
- 2 tbsp butter
- 1 cup red and green gummy or jelly candy, chopped
- 1 tsp vanilla extract (optional)
Instructions
- Line a small loaf pan or square baking pan with parchment paper.
- In a saucepan over low heat, melt the butter and white chocolate together.
- Add marshmallows and stir until completely melted and smooth.
- Remove from heat and mix in the vanilla (optional).
- Gently fold in the red and green jelly pieces.
- Pour the mixture into the prepared pan and spread evenly.
- Refrigerate for 1–2 hours or until fully set.
- Slice into bars or squares and serve.
Notes & Tips
- Use any soft gummy candy — red and green for the classic Christmas look.
- Store in the refrigerator to keep the texture firm.
- White chocolate burns easily — melt on low heat only.
