Super Rich Caramel Pudding
Caramel pudding is one of the oldest and most beloved classic desserts around the world.

Ingredients
- 4 large eggs
- 1/2 cup granulated sugar
- 2 cups milk (1 cup = 250 ml)
- 1 teaspoon vanilla essence
- Pinch of salt
- 6 tablespoons sugar (for caramelizing)
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C).
- In a saucepan, heat 6 tablespoons sugar over medium heat until melted and golden brown.
- Immediately pour caramel into a round baking dish, swirling to coat the bottom evenly.
- In a bowl, whisk eggs and 1/2 cup sugar gently (do not overbeat).
- Add milk, vanilla essence, and salt. Mix until combined.
- Strain the mixture for extra smooth texture.
- Pour custard mixture over the hardened caramel.
- Place the dish in a larger baking tray and add hot water halfway up the sides (water bath method).
- Bake for 40–50 minutes or until center is set but slightly jiggly.
- Cool completely, then refrigerate for at least 3 hours.
- Run a knife around the edges and invert onto a serving plate.
