Ingredients:

  • For the Dough:
    • 300g (2 cups) all-purpose flour
    • 1 large egg
    • 45g (1/4 cup) granulated sugar
    • A pinch of salt
    • 7g dry yeast
    • 140 ml (3/5 cup) hot milk
    • 40g (1/4 cup) softened butter
  • For the Decoration:
    • Whipped cream
    • Fresh strawberries, chopped
    • Granulated sugar

Instructions:

  1. Prepare the Dough:
    • In a medium bowl, combine the sugar, yeast, and hot milk. Stir until dissolved.
    • In a separate bowl, whisk the egg. Gradually add the flour and salt, mixing with a spatula until combined. Then, knead the dough with your hands until it becomes elastic.
    • Incorporate the softened butter into the dough, continuing to knead until fully integrated.
  2. Let It Rise:
    • Shape the dough into a ball, cover it with a tea towel or plastic wrap, and let it rise in a warm place for about one hour.
  3. Shape the Dough:
    • Once risen, divide the dough into eight equal pieces and roll each piece into a ball. Cover and let them rest for 30 minutes.
    • Gently flatten each ball, then roll it into a ball again. Cover and let rest for another 30 minutes.
  4. Fry the Dough:
    • Heat oil in a frying pan over low heat. Fry the dough balls for 2-3 minutes on each side until golden brown.
    • Once cooked, allow them to cool slightly, then cut each ball in half lengthwise, resembling a burger bun.
  5. Assemble and Serve:
    • Garnish the bottom half with whipped cream and chopped strawberries. Place the other half on top, sprinkle with icing sugar, and serve.

Enjoy the delightful explosion of flavors in every bite of these irresistible Strawberry Bombs!
