Ingredients

  • Red and green food coloring (gel preferred)
  • Granulated sugar (for coating)

Instructions

  1. Prepare the Base Mixture: In a large bowl, combine powdered sugar, condensed milk, and peppermint extract. Stir until a soft dough forms.
  2. Knead Until Smooth: Dust your surface with powdered sugar and knead the dough until smooth. Adjust with more sugar or condensed milk as needed.
  3. Divide and Color: Split the dough into three parts β€” one white, one tinted red, and one green. Knead each until color is evenly distributed.
  4. Shape the Mints: Roll each color into ropes (Β½ inch thick), cut into bite-sized pieces, and shape as desired.
  5. Coat and Dry: Roll in granulated sugar, place on parchment paper, and air dry 24 hours uncovered until firm but soft inside.
  6. Store: Keep in an airtight container for up to 2 weeks.
