🍗 Slow Cooker Honey Garlic Chicken Thighs
My sister brought this to our Valentine’s dinner and my husband hasn’t stopped talking about it.
The chicken is so tender it literally falls right off the bone.
🧾 Ingredients
- 6–8 bone-in, skin-on chicken thighs
- Salt and black pepper, to taste
- 1/2 cup soy sauce (low sodium recommended)
- 1/2 cup honey
- 1/4 cup ketchup
- 4 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 tbsp rice vinegar or apple cider vinegar
- 1 tsp sesame oil
- Optional garnish: sesame seeds & chopped green onions
👩🍳 Instructions
1️⃣ Season the Chicken
Season chicken thighs on both sides with salt and black pepper.
2️⃣ Make the Sauce
In a bowl, whisk together soy sauce, honey, ketchup, garlic,
vinegar, and sesame oil until smooth.
3️⃣ Slow Cook
- Place chicken thighs in the slow cooker.
- Pour the sauce evenly over the chicken.
- Cover and cook on LOW for 6–7 hours or
HIGH for 3–4 hours.
4️⃣ Optional Finish
For extra caramelization, transfer chicken to a baking sheet
and broil for 3–5 minutes until slightly crisp.
5️⃣ Garnish & Serve
Spoon sauce over the chicken and garnish with sesame seeds
and green onions.
