This Slow Cooker Creamy Beef & Mushroom Casserole is an easy, budget-friendly comfort meal made with ground beef in a rich, savory mushroom sauce. With just a few pantry staples, you’ll have a hearty dinner that’s perfect served over mashed potatoes, rice, or egg noodles.
Ingredients
- 2 lbs lean ground beef
- 2 (10.5 oz) cans condensed cream of mushroom soup
- 1 packet (1 oz) dry onion soup mix
- 1 cup beef broth
- 8 oz sliced mushrooms (optional)
- 1 tsp garlic powder
- ½ tsp black pepper
- 1 tbsp Worcestershire sauce
- Fresh parsley, chopped (optional, for garnish)
Instructions
- Place the ground beef into the slow cooker, breaking it into large chunks.
- Sprinkle the onion soup mix evenly over the beef.
- Add the sliced mushrooms, if using.
- In a bowl, whisk together the cream of mushroom soup, beef broth, garlic powder, black pepper, and Worcestershire sauce.
- Pour the mixture over the beef.
- Cover and cook on LOW for 6–7 hours or HIGH for 3–4 hours.
- About 30 minutes before serving, break the beef into smaller crumbles and stir everything together until creamy.
- Garnish with chopped parsley and serve over mashed potatoes, rice, buttered noodles, or toast.
