Slow Cooked Chicken and Gravy

This slow cooked chicken and gravy is pure comfort food at its best.
Tender, juicy shredded chicken smothered in rich, savory gravy — perfect
over mashed potatoes, rice, or biscuits. One bite and the whole family is hooked!

Ingredients

  • 2 lbs boneless, skinless chicken breasts
  • 2 packets chicken gravy mix
  • 1 can (10.5 oz) cream of chicken soup
  • 1 ½ cups chicken broth or water
  • ½ teaspoon black pepper
  • ½ teaspoon garlic powder (optional)

Instructions

  1. Place the chicken breasts in the bottom of the slow cooker.
  2. In a bowl, whisk together the gravy mix, cream of chicken soup, chicken broth,
    black pepper, and garlic powder.
  3. Pour the gravy mixture evenly over the chicken.
  4. Cover and cook on LOW for 6–7 hours or HIGH for 3–4 hours.
  5. Once cooked, shred the chicken directly in the slow cooker using two forks.
  6. Stir well and let cook an additional 10–15 minutes to thicken.

Serving Suggestions

  • Serve over creamy mashed potatoes
  • Delicious with rice or egg noodles
  • Perfect with warm biscuits or crusty bread

Tips

  • Chicken thighs can be used for extra juiciness.
  • If gravy is too thick, add a splash of warm broth.
  • Add peas or corn for a complete one-pot meal.
