πβ¨ Simple Apple Hand Pies
Easy to prepare, crispy outside, soft and sweet inside β everyone LOVES these! I sent them to whoever sent themβ¦ YUMMY! π
π Ingredients:
- 2 large apples (peeled & diced)
- 2 tablespoons butter
- 3 tablespoons sugar
- 1 teaspoon cinnamon
- 1 teaspoon lemon juice
- 1 cup flour
- 1/2 cup warm milk
- 1 tablespoon sugar (for dough)
- 1 teaspoon baking powder
- 1 tablespoon oil
- Pinch of salt
- Sugar + cinnamon for coating
- Oil for frying
π₯ Instructions:
- In a pan, melt butter and add diced apples, sugar, cinnamon, and lemon juice. Cook until soft. Set aside to cool.
- In a bowl, mix flour, warm milk, 1 tbsp sugar, baking powder, oil, and salt. Knead until smooth.
- Roll out the dough and cut into small circles.
- Place a spoonful of apple filling on each circle and fold in half. Seal edges with a fork.
- Heat oil and fry until golden on both sides.
- Immediately coat the warm pies in cinnamon sugar.

π‘ Tips:
- Use green apples for a stronger flavor.
- Seal edges well to prevent leaking while frying.
