🧾 Ingredients
For the Meatballs
- 1 lb (450 g) ground beef
- 1/3 cup breadcrumbs
- 1 large egg
- 1/4 cup milk
- 1 small onion, finely diced
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
- 1/2 teaspoon paprika
- 2 tablespoons oil (for frying)
For the Mushroom Gravy
- 2 tablespoons butter
- 8 oz (225 g) mushrooms, sliced
- 2 tablespoons all-purpose flour
- 2 cups beef broth
- 1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
- 1 teaspoon Dijon mustard (optional but recommended)
- Salt and black pepper, to taste

1️⃣ Make the Meatballs
In a large bowl, combine ground beef, breadcrumbs, egg, milk, onion,
garlic, Worcestershire sauce, salt, pepper, and paprika.
Mix gently until just combined.
Form into medium-sized meatballs.
2️⃣ Brown the Meatballs
Heat oil in a large skillet over medium heat.
Add meatballs and brown on all sides (about 5–7 minutes).
Remove meatballs and set aside.
3️⃣ Cook the Mushrooms
In the same skillet, melt butter.
Add sliced mushrooms and cook until browned and softened,
about 5 minutes.
4️⃣ Make the Gravy
Sprinkle flour over the mushrooms and stir for 1 minute.
Slowly whisk in beef broth, stirring constantly to avoid lumps.
Add Worcestershire sauce and Dijon mustard.
Season with salt and pepper.
Simmer until the gravy thickens.
5️⃣ Simmer the Meatballs
Return meatballs to the skillet.
Spoon gravy over them, cover, and simmer on low heat
