This legendary Southern dessert is rich, creamy, and completely irresistible.
It’s the kind of banana pudding that disappears fast and gets requested at every gathering.

Ingredients

  • 2 bags Pepperidge Farm Chessmen cookies
  • 6–8 ripe bananas, sliced
  • 2 cups cold milk
  • 1 (5 oz) box instant vanilla pudding mix
  • 1 (8 oz) package cream cheese, softened
  • 1 (14 oz) can sweetened condensed milk
  • 1 (12 oz) container frozen whipped topping, thawed

Instructions

  1. Line the bottom of a 9×13-inch dish with one bag of Chessmen cookies.
  2. Layer sliced bananas evenly over the cookies.
  3. In a bowl, beat cream cheese until smooth.
  4. Add sweetened condensed milk and mix until creamy.
  5. In a separate bowl, whisk milk and pudding mix until thick.
  6. Fold the pudding into the cream cheese mixture.
  7. Gently fold in the whipped topping.
  8. Pour mixture over bananas and cookies.
  9. Top with the remaining Chessmen cookies.
  10. Refrigerate at least 4 hours (overnight is best).
