Oven-Baked Sausages with Caramelized Onions
Juicy sausages baked in the oven with sweet, caramelized onions — simple, hands-off, and absolutely transformative.
Ingredients:
- 8–10 sausages (pork, chicken, or beef)
- 2 large onions, thinly sliced
- 2 tablespoons olive oil
- 2 tablespoons butter
- 1 teaspoon garlic powder
- Salt and black pepper, to taste
- 1/2 cup beef or chicken broth (optional, for extra juiciness)
- Fresh parsley or thyme (optional)
Instructions:
- Preheat oven to 400°F (200°C).
- Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
- Spread sliced onions on the tray, drizzle with olive oil, add butter, salt, and pepper.
- Place sausages on top of the onions.
- Sprinkle garlic powder over everything.
- Pour broth into the pan if using.
- Bake for 35–40 minutes, turning sausages halfway, until golden and cooked through.
- Garnish with fresh herbs before serving.
Serving ideas: Mashed potatoes, crusty bread, or over rice.
