🍪 Michigan Rocks Cookies
These classic Michigan Rocks cookies are thick, soft, and packed with
nuts and chocolate. A nostalgic family recipe that’s been loved for generations.
Ingredients
- 1 cup unsalted butter, softened
- 2 cups granulated sugar
- 4 large eggs
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 4 cups all-purpose flour
- 1 teaspoon baking powder
- ½ teaspoon baking soda
- ½ teaspoon salt
- 1½ cups chopped walnuts or pecans
- 1½ cups chocolate chips
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C).
- Cream butter and sugar until light and fluffy.
- Add eggs one at a time, mixing well after each.
- Stir in vanilla extract.
- In a separate bowl, whisk flour, baking powder, baking soda, and salt.
- Gradually add dry ingredients to wet mixture.
- Fold in nuts and chocolate chips.
- Drop dough by rounded tablespoons onto a lined baking sheet.
- Bake for 12–15 minutes until lightly golden.
- Cool on wire racks before serving.
