Juicy Garlic Herb Steak Strips

These garlic herb steak strips are unbelievably tender, juicy, and loaded with bold flavor. Perfectly seared on the outside and melt-in-your-mouth inside, this recipe is quick enough for a weeknight but impressive enough for guests.

Ingredients

  • 2 lbs flank steak or sirloin steak
  • 2 tbsp olive oil
  • 4 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 tbsp fresh parsley, chopped
  • 1 tsp dried oregano
  • ½ tsp crushed red pepper flakes (optional)
  • 1 tsp salt
  • ½ tsp black pepper
  • 1 tbsp butter (for finishing)

Instructions

  1. Pat the steak dry with paper towels.
  2. Rub both sides with olive oil, salt, and pepper.
  3. Heat a cast iron skillet over high heat until very hot.
  4. Sear steak 3–4 minutes per side for medium-rare (adjust time as needed).
  5. Add butter, garlic, oregano, and red pepper flakes during the last minute of cooking.
  6. Spoon the melted garlic butter over the steak.
  7. Remove from heat and let rest 5–10 minutes.
  8. Slice against the grain into strips.
  9. Garnish with fresh parsley and serve.
