Honey Garlic Glazed Ribs 🍯🍖

Sticky, tender, and full of flavor — these ribs are coated in a rich honey-garlic glaze and sprinkled with sesame seeds for the perfect finish!

Ingredients

  • 1 lb (450 g) halal beef ribs, cut into pieces
  • 2 tbsp soy sauce
  • 1 tbsp halal-certified oyster sauce
  • 2 tbsp honey
  • 2 tbsp brown sugar
  • 1 tbsp rice vinegar or apple cider vinegar
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 tsp grated ginger
  • 1 tbsp sesame oil
  • 1 tsp sesame seeds (for garnish)

Instructions

  1. Parboil the ribs for 5–7 minutes to remove excess fat and impurities, then drain and pat dry.
  2. In a skillet, heat sesame oil over medium heat. Add minced garlic and ginger, sauté until fragrant.
  3. Add the ribs and cook until lightly browned on all sides.
  4. Stir in soy sauce, oyster sauce, honey, brown sugar, and vinegar. Mix until ribs are well coated.
  5. Add a splash of water, cover, and simmer for 25–30 minutes on low heat until tender and glossy.
  6. Remove the lid and cook uncovered until the sauce thickens and caramelizes beautifully.
  7. Sprinkle sesame seeds on top before serving. Enjoy with steamed rice or stir-fried vegetables!

Chef’s Tips 👩‍🍳

  • Use halal beef or lamb ribs instead of pork for a fully halal-friendly version.
  • Add chili flakes or gochujang for a spicy kick 🔥.
  • Double the sauce ingredients if you like extra glaze for dipping!
