🧀🍲 Homemade Mac and Cheese

Ingredients:

  • 1 lb elbow macaroni
  • 4 cups shredded cheddar cheese
  • 2 cups milk
  • 2 tbsp butter
  • 2 tbsp flour
  • Salt and pepper, to taste

Instructions:

  1. Cook Pasta:
    Cook macaroni according to package instructions; drain and set aside.
  2. Make the Roux:
    In a saucepan, melt butter over medium heat. Stir in flour and cook for 1–2 minutes until slightly golden.
  3. Prepare the Sauce:
    Gradually add milk, whisking continuously until the mixture thickens.
    Remove from heat and stir in shredded cheddar cheese until melted and smooth.
  4. Combine:
    Mix cheese sauce with cooked macaroni until evenly coated.
  5. Bake:
    Pour into a baking dish and bake at 350°F (175°C) for 20 minutes, or until golden and bubbly on top.
  6. Serve:
    Serve warm and enjoy the creamy, cheesy goodness! 😋
