🧀🍲 Homemade Mac and Cheese
Ingredients:
- 1 lb elbow macaroni
- 4 cups shredded cheddar cheese
- 2 cups milk
- 2 tbsp butter
- 2 tbsp flour
- Salt and pepper, to taste
Instructions:
- Cook Pasta:
Cook macaroni according to package instructions; drain and set aside. - Make the Roux:
In a saucepan, melt butter over medium heat. Stir in flour and cook for 1–2 minutes until slightly golden. - Prepare the Sauce:
Gradually add milk, whisking continuously until the mixture thickens.
Remove from heat and stir in shredded cheddar cheese until melted and smooth. - Combine:
Mix cheese sauce with cooked macaroni until evenly coated. - Bake:
Pour into a baking dish and bake at 350°F (175°C) for 20 minutes, or until golden and bubbly on top. - Serve:
Serve warm and enjoy the creamy, cheesy goodness! 😋
