Homemade Cinnamon Roll

🍞 Ingredients

  • 2 ¾ cups all-purpose flour
  • 3 tbsp sugar
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 2 ¼ tsp instant yeast
  • ¾ cup warm milk
  • 3 tbsp unsalted butter, melted
  • 1 large egg

🥮 Filling

  • ¼ cup unsalted butter, softened
  • ½ cup brown sugar
  • 2 tbsp ground cinnamon

🍯 Glaze

  • 1 cup powdered sugar
  • 2 tbsp milk
  • ½ tsp vanilla extract

👩‍🍳 Instructions

  1. In a bowl, combine warm milk, sugar, melted butter, and yeast. Let sit for 5 minutes until foamy.
  2. Add egg, salt, and flour. Mix until a soft dough forms. Knead for 5–7 minutes until smooth.
  3. Cover and let rise for 1 hour, or until doubled in size.
  4. Roll out dough into a rectangle. Spread softened butter, sprinkle brown sugar and cinnamon evenly.
  5. Roll tightly and cut into 12 pieces. Place in a greased baking pan.
  6. Cover and let rise again for 30 minutes.
  7. Bake at 350°F (175°C) for 20–25 minutes, until golden brown.
  8. Mix glaze ingredients and drizzle over warm rolls. Enjoy!
💡 Tip: Add a little cream cheese to your glaze for an extra-rich, bakery-style finish!
