Grandma’s Sausage Breakfast Casserole

Grandma’s Sausage Breakfast Casserole ❤️
“I cannot believe I finally found this recipe! My grandma would make this for holiday parties when I was a girl and I would sneak as many as I could without being discovered. A true guilty pleasure and my heart is so happy to be able to make them again. 😋”

🧀 Ingredients
- 1 pound breakfast sausage
 - 6 large eggs
 - 2 cups milk
 - 1 teaspoon dry mustard
 - 1 teaspoon salt
 - ½ teaspoon black pepper
 - 6 slices bread, cubed
 - 2 cups shredded cheddar cheese
 - Optional: ¼ cup chopped onion or bell pepper

👩🍳 Instructions
- Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C) and lightly grease a 9×13-inch baking dish.
 - In a skillet, cook sausage over medium heat until browned. Drain and set aside.
 - In a large bowl, whisk together eggs, milk, dry mustard, salt, and pepper.
 - Layer bread cubes evenly in the baking dish. Sprinkle sausage and cheese over the bread.
 - Pour the egg mixture over the top, ensuring everything is covered.
 - Let it rest for 10–15 minutes (or refrigerate overnight for deeper flavor).
 - Bake uncovered for 40–45 minutes, or until the top is golden and set in the center.
 - Let cool slightly before slicing and serving warm.

💡 Tip: You can add a pinch of garlic powder, diced peppers, or even hash browns for extra texture. This casserole reheats beautifully — perfect for busy mornings or brunch parties!
