Garlic Herb Sourdough Stuffed with Brie and Cranberry Sauce
This Garlic Herb Sourdough stuffed with creamy brie and sweet cranberry sauce is the ultimate holiday appetizer. Crispy on the outside, warm and gooey inside, and packed with festive flavor — it’s perfect for Christmas dinners, Thanksgiving gatherings, or cozy winter nights.
Ingredients
For the Bread
- 1 large sourdough loaf
- 1 cup cranberry sauce (homemade or store-bought)
- 8–10 oz brie cheese, sliced (rind on or removed)
For the Garlic Herb Butter
- 4 tablespoons unsalted butter, melted
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 tablespoon fresh thyme, chopped
- 1 tablespoon fresh parsley, chopped
- Pinch of salt
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C).
- Using a serrated knife, cut the sourdough loaf in a crisscross pattern without slicing all the way through the bottom.
- Insert brie slices evenly between the cuts in the bread.
- Spoon cranberry sauce into the openings throughout the loaf.
- In a small bowl, mix melted butter, garlic, thyme, parsley, and salt.
- Brush the garlic herb butter generously over and inside the bread.
- Wrap loosely in foil and bake for 15 minutes.
- Uncover and bake an additional 10–15 minutes until the cheese is melted and the top is golden and crispy.
- Serve warm and pull apart to enjoy.
