Garlic Butter Baked Scallops 🦪
Ingredients
- 1 lb (450 g) large sea scallops
- 3 tbsp unsalted butter, melted
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 2 tbsp fresh lemon juice
- ¼ cup grated Parmesan cheese
- ¼ cup breadcrumbs (panko or regular)
- 2 tbsp chopped fresh parsley
- Salt and black pepper, to taste
- Lemon wedges, for serving
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 400°F (200°C).
- Pat scallops dry and season with salt and pepper.
- Mix melted butter, minced garlic, and lemon juice in a bowl.
- Arrange scallops in a greased baking dish and drizzle with the garlic butter mixture.
- Combine breadcrumbs, Parmesan, and parsley, then sprinkle over scallops.
- Bake for 12–15 minutes, until scallops are opaque and topping is golden brown.
- Garnish with extra parsley and serve warm with lemon wedges or bread.
💡 Tips:
• Don’t overbake — scallops cook quickly and become rubbery if overdone.
• Add a pinch of paprika for color and a mild kick.
• Pairs beautifully with linguine or a light white wine sauce.
