Total: 40 mins
Serves: 6–8
Ingredients
- 1 lb (450g) ground beef
- 1 medium onion, diced
- 1 red bell pepper, thinly sliced
- 1 yellow bell pepper, thinly sliced
- 2 cups shredded cheddar cheese (or mozzarella)
- 1 pizza dough or crescent roll sheet
- 1 tsp garlic powder
- 1 tsp Italian seasoning
- Salt and pepper to taste
- 1 tbsp olive oil (for cooking)
- 1 egg (beaten, for brushing)
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
- In a skillet, heat olive oil and sauté onion and peppers until softened.
- Add ground beef and cook until browned. Season with garlic powder, Italian seasoning, salt, and pepper. Drain excess fat.
- Roll out the pizza dough into a large rectangle. Spread the beef mixture evenly over the dough, leaving about 1 inch of border on all sides.
- Sprinkle cheese generously over the top.
- Roll the dough tightly from one end like a jelly roll, sealing the edges by pinching the seams.
- Place seam side down on the baking sheet. Brush the top with beaten egg for a golden finish.
- Bake for 20–25 minutes or until golden brown and crispy.
- Let it cool for 5 minutes, then slice into rounds and serve warm with marinara or ranch dipping sauce.
Tip: Add cooked bacon, jalapeños, or sautéed mushrooms for extra flavor!
Great to make ahead — just reheat in the oven for a few minutes before serving.
