Fluffy Chocolate Chip Banana Bread
Moist, fluffy, and loaded with chocolate chips — the ultimate banana bread comfort bake.
Ingredients
- 1¾ cups all-purpose flour (215 g)
- 1 tsp baking powder
- 1 tsp baking soda
- 1 tsp salt
- Pinch of ground cinnamon
- ½ tsp allspice
- ¼ tsp cardamom
- ¼ tsp nutmeg
- ½ cup granulated sugar
- ¼ cup brown sugar
- ½ cup unsalted butter, room temperature
- 2 tbsp plain yogurt
- 2 large eggs
- 3 ripe bananas, mashed (about 1½ cups)
- 1½ cups semi-sweet chocolate chips
- 1 tsp vanilla extract
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease and line a loaf pan.
- In a bowl, whisk together flour, baking powder, baking soda, salt, and spices.
- In another bowl, cream butter with granulated and brown sugar until light and fluffy.
- Add eggs one at a time, then mix in yogurt, mashed bananas, and vanilla.
- Gradually fold dry ingredients into the wet mixture until just combined.
- Gently stir in chocolate chips.
- Pour batter into prepared pan and smooth the top.
- Bake for 55–65 minutes, or until a toothpick comes out clean.
- Let cool completely before slicing for best texture.
