Easy Cream Cheese Cake

I tried the easiest cream cheese cake recipe I’ve ever found, and it came together in no time.
It turned out incredibly creamy, slightly tangy, and not too sweet — just perfect for afternoon tea.
Everyone thought it was from a bakery!

Ingredients:

  • 1 cup (240 ml) milk
  • 1 cup (240 ml) water
  • 1 cup butter (226 g)
  • 1 cup all-purpose flour (120 g)
  • 5 large eggs
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 2 cups whipping cream
  • 1 cup cream cheese, softened
  • 1/2 cup powdered sugar
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract

Instructions:

  1. In a saucepan, combine milk, water, butter, and salt. Bring to a boil.
  2. Reduce heat and add flour all at once. Stir vigorously until the dough forms a ball and pulls away from the pot.
  3. Let the dough cool slightly, then beat in the eggs one at a time until smooth.
  4. Pipe or spread the dough into a ring shape on a baking sheet.
  5. Bake at 375°F (190°C) for 30–35 minutes, or until golden and puffed. Cool completely.
  6. In a bowl, beat cream cheese, powdered sugar, and vanilla until smooth.
  7. Whip the cream separately until stiff peaks form, then fold it into the cream cheese mixture.
  8. Slice the baked ring horizontally and fill it with the cream mixture.
  9. Dust with powdered sugar before serving.
