🍖 Crockpot Barbecue Ribs

Fall-off-the-bone tender ribs with rich BBQ flavor.
So easy, even the skeptics will be asking for seconds!

Ingredients

  • 2–3 lbs pork baby back ribs or spare ribs
  • 1 cup barbecue sauce (your favorite)
  • 2 tbsp brown sugar
  • 1 tsp garlic powder
  • 1 tsp onion powder
  • 1 tsp paprika
  • ½ tsp salt
  • ½ tsp black pepper
  • Optional: ½ tsp chili powder or cayenne (for heat)

Instructions

  1. Remove the membrane from the back of the ribs and cut ribs to fit your slow cooker.
  2. In a small bowl, mix brown sugar, garlic powder, onion powder, paprika, salt, pepper, and optional chili powder.
  3. Rub seasoning generously over both sides of the ribs.
  4. Place ribs into the crockpot, standing or layered as needed.
  5. Pour barbecue sauce evenly over the ribs.
  6. Cover and cook on LOW for 7–8 hours or HIGH for 4–5 hours, until very tender.
  7. Optional (recommended): Transfer ribs to a baking sheet, brush with extra BBQ sauce, and broil 3–5 minutes until caramelized.
  8. Rest a few minutes, then serve and enjoy.
🔥 Broiling at the end gives that sticky, smoky finish like oven-baked ribs — totally worth it!
