Crock Pot Cube Steak Recipe

Ingredients:

  • 6 cube steaks
  • 1 medium onion, peeled and sliced into rings
  • 1 can cream of chicken soup
  • 1 can cream of celery soup
  • 1 packet Lipton Onion Soup Mix
  • 1/2 can of water (use the soup can for measurement)
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions:

  1. Begin by peeling and slicing a medium-sized onion into rings. Set them aside for layering later.
  2. Season each cube steak generously with salt and pepper on both sides.
  3. Place two of the seasoned cube steaks at the bottom of your crock pot.
  4. Layer a portion of the sliced onions on top of the steaks, then repeat the process with the remaining steaks and onions. Layering the onions between the steaks prevents them from sticking together during cooking.
  5. In a separate bowl, combine the cream of chicken soup, cream of celery soup, and water. Stir until smooth.
  6. Pour the soup mixture evenly over the layered steaks and onions.
  7. Sprinkle the Lipton Onion Soup Mix over the top.
  8. Secure the lid on the crock pot and cook on low heat for 6-7 hours.

As it slowly cooks, your kitchen will fill with a mouth-watering aroma. Once the time is up, you’ll have tender cube steaks, perfect for serving with mashed potatoes to soak up the rich gravy. Pair it with a crisp salad or a green vegetable for a complete meal.

Tip:

If you’re a fan of cream of mushroom soup, feel free to substitute it in the recipe. Personally, I prefer a combination of chicken and celery for a unique twist.
