🍄 Crispy Fried Mushrooms with Cool Ranch Dip
Golden, crunchy mushrooms with a creamy cool ranch dip — the perfect snack or appetizer everyone will devour!
Ingredients
For the Crispy Fried Mushrooms:
- 1 lb button or cremini mushrooms, cleaned and stems trimmed
- 1 cup all-purpose flour
- 1 tsp garlic powder
- 1 tsp onion powder
- ½ tsp paprika
- 1 tsp salt and ½ tsp black pepper
- 2 large eggs, beaten
- 1 cup breadcrumbs (panko or regular)
- Oil for frying (vegetable or canola)
For the Cool Ranch Dip:
- ½ cup mayonnaise
- ½ cup sour cream
- 1 tsp dried dill
- 1 tsp dried parsley
- 1 tsp garlic powder
- ½ tsp onion powder
- 1 tsp lemon juice
- Salt and pepper to taste
Instructions
- Prepare the mushrooms: Pat mushrooms dry with paper towels. Slice larger ones in half if needed.
- Set up breading station: Place flour (mixed with garlic powder, onion powder, paprika, salt, and pepper) in one bowl, beaten eggs in another, and breadcrumbs in a third.
- Coat mushrooms: Dredge each mushroom in flour, dip into egg, then roll in breadcrumbs until well coated.
- Fry: Heat oil in a deep skillet to 350°F (175°C). Fry mushrooms in batches for 2–3 minutes or until golden brown. Remove and drain on paper towels.
- Make the dip: In a small bowl, mix together all dip ingredients until creamy. Adjust seasoning to taste.
- Serve: Arrange mushrooms on a plate around a bowl of ranch dip. Sprinkle with fresh parsley and enjoy hot!
