Crispy Baked Parmesan Onion Rings

Golden, crunchy, and packed with flavor — these oven-baked onion rings are
the kind of snack that disappears fast. My husband took one bite and
immediately came running for the recipe!

Ingredients

  • 2 large onions, sliced into thick rings
  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1 cup panko breadcrumbs
  • ½ cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon paprika
  • ½ teaspoon salt
  • ½ teaspoon black pepper
  • Cooking spray or olive oil spray

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 425°F (220°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  2. Separate onion slices into rings and set aside.
  3. Place flour in one shallow bowl.
  4. Beat eggs in a second bowl.
  5. In a third bowl, mix panko breadcrumbs, Parmesan cheese,
    garlic powder, paprika, salt, and pepper.
  6. Dip each onion ring into flour, then egg, then coat well in the breadcrumb
    mixture.
  7. Place rings on the prepared baking sheet in a single layer.
  8. Lightly spray the tops with cooking spray for extra crispiness.
  9. Bake for 18–22 minutes, flipping halfway through, until golden brown
    and crispy.
  10. Serve immediately with your favorite dipping sauce.

  • Ranch or garlic aioli
  • Spicy mayo or chipotle sauce
  • Marinara for an Italian twist
Pro Tip: For extra crunch, place the baked onion rings under
the broiler for 1–2 minutes at the end — keep a close eye on them!
