Ingredients

  • 1 lb (450 g) large shrimp, peeled and deveined
  • 2 cups fresh spinach leaves
  • 1 tbsp olive oil
  • 2 tbsp butter
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 cup (240 ml) heavy cream
  • ½ cup (120 ml) milk
  • ½ cup (50 g) grated Parmesan cheese
  • 1 cup (100 g) shredded mozzarella cheese
  • 1 tbsp all-purpose flour
  • Salt & pepper to taste 🧂
  • ½ tsp paprika (optional)

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C). Lightly grease a baking dish.
  2. In a skillet, heat olive oil and sauté spinach until wilted. Remove and set aside.
  3. In the same skillet, melt butter and add minced garlic. Cook for 1 minute until fragrant.
  4. Whisk in flour to form a roux, then gradually add cream and milk, stirring until smooth.
  5. Season with salt, pepper, and paprika. Add Parmesan cheese and cook until the sauce thickens.
  6. Layer spinach and shrimp in the baking dish, then pour sauce evenly over the top.
  7. Sprinkle mozzarella cheese on top and bake for 25–30 minutes until bubbly and golden brown.
  8. Garnish with parsley and serve hot with rice, pasta, or bread! 🍞🦐
Tip: Add a squeeze of lemon juice before serving to brighten up the creamy sauce — it’s a game-changer! 🍋
